Job Summary and Mission

The Pricing Coordinator will assist in all pricing efforts that will play a significant role and be a contributing factor in reaching and maintaining projected revenue and profit goals of the company. This individual will continuously represent and promote the company in a professional manner and act in accordance with Ranger’s service standards. This individual will strive to promote teamwork at all levels within the organization.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of all RFQ’s and RFP’s for final proposal presentation to customer;
  • Obtains resources, quotations and secures competitive pricing and costing structures for all potential business opportunities within all levels;
  • Capitalize on value creation opportunities by working closely with sales to develop creative solutions to customer needs to facilitate high closing ratio’s;
  • Quoting and initiating following up on all shipments while consistently analyzing trends and results;
  • Continuously research and develop existing and potential laneways and the appropriate carriers;
  • Coordinate the negotiations of all carrier tariffs;
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all costing controls;
  • Assist and participate in carrier research, carrier review process and carrier negotiations;
  • Demonstrates commitment to customer service, working as part of the team to ensure the right services are delivered at the right time and at the right price;
  • Performs various other projects and related duties assigned by the Manager, Sales & Marketing;
  • Duties and responsibilities will be reviewed on an ongoing basis;
Qualifications:

Summary of Experience and Education:
  • University or College Degree an asset;
  • Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills;
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office with highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Two years of relevant pricing experience in transportation and logistics or in other service industries an asset
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, Attributes Required:
  • Excellent negotiation skills with proven track record;
  • Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels within an organization;
  • Advanced analytical skills;
  • Strong decision making skills;
  • Ability to provide solutions to complex issues;
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Continuously meets deadlines;
